HISTORY

AVICOLA SALAZAR SA de CV which is abbreviated AVIS SA de CV was founded in Metapán, department of Santa Ana, on July 13, 2000, with the purpose of manufacturing and marketing balanced foods for animal consumption.
Engineers Manuel and Nelson Salazar were founded by their owners in an improvised warehouse, starting with a multi-purpose gasoline engine. Initially, two hundred and fifty quintals were produced monthly. In the following year, production already reached 1,500 quintals.
In the month of June 1999 it begins with the leveling of the land and foundation for the construction of the industrial building, with an approximate area of 1600 m2, where the premixes of vitamins, minerals (macro ingredients and micro ingredients) are formulated and elaborated, receipt of raw materials and storage of the finished product and materials for production, such as packaging materials, vignettes, etc.

In 2000 we expanded the warehouse with the extruded area and the administrative offices and the macro and micro ingredients formulation laboratory are located.
Currently the company is adapting its resources (human and material) to the demands of the market and the levels of competitiveness demanded by its Clients, Partners and competition.
Contributing to the development of the community, employing mostly people close to the company, generating more than 100 direct jobs, benefiting more than 500 people indirectly.
